The great city of Perth puts on an annual weekly-long celebration of good beer [http://wabeerweek.com/] each November and this year we are getting on board. Ash is heading over for the week and here’s a quick rundown of the events he’ll be taking part in.

Bar Pop Beer, Cider and Sliders Fest
Friday November 6th to Sunday November 8th, with afternoon and evening sessions

Set in Perth’s Urban Orchid, this pop up festival will showcase some of Australia’s best beers and ciders, while food trucks serve tasty sliders. We’ll be setting up a stall with our two core beers pouring for all sessions.

The Masquer…Ale Ball
Tuesday November 10th from 6pm

We brewed a one-off beer with the other ex-brewers of The Generous Squire Brewhouse in Perth’s CBD, for release during beer week. The unveiling of this collaboration between Barrow Boys, Colonial and James Squire will be the main feature of the ball at the Murray Street venue. It’ll be free entry and great fun, with Prizes for best dressed.

The Jester & The Minstrel launch
Wednesday November 11th from 6:30pm

East meets West in this craft beer collaboration by the young guns from Barrow Boys and Monk Craft Brewery, recently crowned ‘Champion Small Brewery’ in the Australian Craft Beer Awards. Ash & Craig have crafted an English India Red Lager using classic English malt and two new English hop varieties. $20 gets you entry to the Monks Basement, your first goblet of the collab beer and complimentary beer bites plus live beats.

Little Creatures Family Reunion
Friday November 13th from 4:30pm

Over the years, a lot of ex-Little Creatures brewers have gone on to start their own companies after learning the ropes at this craft beer juggernaut. As well as Ash, past brewers include Jayne (Two Birds), Jack (Pirate Life), Samara (Young Henry’s), Aaron & Dirk (Gage Roads), Dan (Nail) and Jase (Blue Mile). Beers from each of the breweries will be pouring all week, with the Friday night as the family reunion get together. Come along, share a beer and listen to a few old brewing stories.

Fremantle Beer Festival
Saturday November 14th & Sunday November 15th

Celebrating the best beer this country has to offer, and sending off WA Beer Week in style is the Fremantle Beer Fest, at the Esplanade Oval.
